Contemporary Indian Wear Suitable for European Wardrobes.
Indian fashion is undergoing significant shift and it definitely does not include mandala prints, tie-dye, incense-shop ethno. That's a tourist's idea of India, not how anyone in Delhi or Mumbai dresses today. What I wear — and sell — comes from the design houses driving modern India: hand-blocked cotton, clean handloom, earthy colours, sustainable textiles and artisanal designs.

If you've only met Indian clothing through Prague's ethno shops, these names will be new — so here's the short version of what you're actually buying, and why it's different.
Block print
Hand-carved wooden blocks, stamped by hand onto cotton. The tiny irregularities are the point — no two metres identical. The best of it is done slowly and ethically in Jaipur workshops. The opposite of printed-mandala fast fashion.
Handloom
Fabric woven on a non-powered loom by a weaver, not a machine. It breathes differently, drapes differently, lasts. The good makers work directly with artisan communities, so a piece carries a maker, not just a label.
Why buy it second-hand here
These labels barely ship to Czechia. Buying my pre-loved pieces on Vinted is the easiest way to get the real thing locally — and it keeps good clothes in circulation instead of landfill.
